Their emphasis is on social class and social class domination. Black people have been dominated in America primarily by white men. This is gender, not class domination. And since white men dominated black people in a racist manner, from their gender position, that makes the domination gender-racist. Marxists and Marxist analysis would not be able to relate to these situations easily.
